On March 9th in partnership with Next Page Books the British Schools Museum is hosting a celebration of all things literary!
With talks by children's authors , story-telling sessions, craft activities and more, there'll be plenty of things to keep your little ones busy!
We are super excited to have four wonderful authors lined up for the festival:
Morning Session: Ian Eagleton - author of "Nen and the lonely fisherman", and "Millie's Big Decision"
Morning Session: Paula Harrison- author of "Fairytale Ninjas", and "Kitty's Midnight Adventures" series
Afternoon Session: Frances Durkin - author of "The Histronauts" and "Discoveries and Inventions" series
Afternoon Session: A. M. Dassu - author of "Boy, Everywhere", "Fight Back" and "Kicked Out"
Families can buy a morning ticket, or an afternoon, or an all day ticket. There will be two authors talks in the morning: Ian Eagleton and Paula Harrison (Suitable for age 3+ and 5+) and two in the afternoon: Frances Durkin and A. M. Dassu (most suitable for ages 7-12)
Each author will be giving a talk, followed by questions and signing, and in between sessions there will be book-themed crafts, story-telling sessions, face painting, and round your day off with the wonderful finalé performance by the children's choir of Stagecoach Performing Arts at 3.15.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
The Cafe @ the Museum will be open for snacks and drinks which can be taken up to the author talks, and an accessible toilet is available.
